Gerald, our team's first sales manager, has been searching for various sellers in the Philippines who can effectively sell our products since 2017. During that time, the K-beauty boom was emerging in Southeast Asia, resulting in a significant number of sellers offering Korean products through their own online shops. Thanks to the trend, our business has experienced tremendous growth and has provided us with valuable data and business insights. The data revealed the actual flow of our exported products, indicating that some items were selling increasingly well, while others were declining in sales. Saemi, the CEO of our team and Gerald identified the most popular product category and the ingredients that sold the most. Based on this information, they made the decision to create a brand aligned with the data-driven insights.
S*** V*** was one of our team's early clients, primarily selling Korean cosmetics products. She demonstrated exceptional sales skills, but we recognized the need for a new strategy to further maximize sales. Over the years of distributing cosmetics, our team had gathered valuable data on the most popular products and ingredients in Southeast Asia, particularly in the Philippines. This enabled us to launch the brand together, leveraging our insights to drive success.
The encounter between her, who already had significant distribution power in the Philippines, and the data-based "highly likely" products yielded surprising results. The initial product, a serum containing niacinamide, achieved remarkable sales of 10,000 units in its first year of release through Southeast Asia's largest online shopping mall.
Following the success of the first product, she has been collaborating with our team to develop a range of products under the same brand. As the products are 100% manufactured in Korea, we maintain close collaboration with her throughout the entire production process, including detailed discussions on design and formulation. We share videos showcasing the production process, allowing her to create pre-launch marketing content for online SNS platforms. Moreover, she holds exclusive rights to sell the brand in the Philippines, granting her the authority to handle all wholesale requests on behalf of our team. As co-developers of the brand, our team is also responsible for brand sales outside the Philippines.
Now, she has achieved remarkable growth and become a prominent seller with a following of over 800,000 in her shop. We are delighted by her success and look forward to further collaboration and future endeavors with our team.
Story #2, We choose and sell what we need.

Our team frequently embarks on business trips to various countries, as our customers are interested in launching their own brands worldwide. In 2022, our team also participated in a beauty fair, where we had the opportunity to meet numerous international customers, introduce ourselves, and propose cosmetics OEM/ODM services. Among the several buyers interested in distributing our brand products, one buyer has engaged in numerous conversations with Jason, our sales manager.
N*** K*** owned and operated a luxurious spa shop in Bangkok, Thailand. In order to provide high-end services to its customers, the spa shop provided facial massage treatments using high quality cosmetics. With a desire to find trustworthy and high-quality Korean cosmetics for her clients, she engaged in a conversation with Jason. Through their discussions, she gained confidence that our team could fulfill her requirements and meet the needs of her discerning customers.
Although she operated a spa shop, she had almost no prior experience in selling Korean cosmetics. However, she believed that by collaborating with us, she could obtain the specific quantity of products needed for her shop. Furthermore, she was confident that these cosmetics would not only serve as facial massage products for her customers but would also possess the competitiveness to be sold successfully. So, she made the decision to produce 1,000 products that would be required in the spa shop in the shortest possible time by collaborating with a manufacturer affiliated with Maycoders. As a result, the first product, ceramide cream, was successfully released.
Not only did MAYK team support the cosmetic formulation, but we also provided assistance with the design of the box, labels, and cosmetics packaging. As it is utilized in high-end spa shops, the product was able to effectively appeal to consumers seeking to purchase premium Korean cosmetics.
After producing 1,000 units, she gained greater confidence and successfully launched a new product. Approximately two months after the release of the first product, she decided to produce her second product, the Serum. This was possible due to the ability to manufacture small quantities within a significantly shorter timeframe compared to the usual cosmetics production process, which typically takes over six months.
Currently, she sells her products through online shopping malls and her own spa shop in Thailand. We will continue to provide the necessary support to help this brand thrive and establish itself as a new high-end cosmetics brand in Thailand.
Story #3, A journey to find a reliable partner who solves my difficulties.

Sales channel: Start-up, no experience in sales before
MAYK is a service that enables users to purchase and test sample formulations in advance through the website, select their desired formulation, and launch it under their own brand. The MVP version was released in March, and since then, numerous customers from around the world have inquired about creating the product they desire. The sample formulations offered on the MAYK website are provided by a cosmetic manufacturer that collaborates with us, and most of them are categorized as basic skincare products. As a result, inquiries related to cosmetics in other categories often faced difficulties in proceeding.
E*** from Australia was also among the customers who submitted an inquiry through MAYK during this period. She had plans to launch an e-commerce business focused on selling cosmetics, and she had a specific target product in mind to kickstart her business.
Jason, the sales manager, promptly reached out to her as he needed more information beyond the brief inquiry she had submitted. She had secured initial funding to start her startup and had a marketing partner to support her. Considering our ability to fulfill the product she requested, we were confident that finalizing this contract would be a smooth and uncomplicated process.
However, unlike regular skincare products, the issue with the sheet masks, which she desired, was the excessively high minimum order quantity (MOQ). The manufacturer's MOQ was twice the quantity that could be produced within her budget. Producing according to the manufacturer's MOQ posed a significant burden for her, especially since she had just started her business. Although we had prepared in advance, including designing the shape of the sheet mask, we were unable to place an actual order, and time continued to pass without progress.
However, given that she is an early customer who has submitted a production request, we started considering other ways in which MAYK could provide support beyond the scope of production assistance. For production, we had no alternative but to meet the manufacturer's MOQ requirement. However, if we were to do so, it would exceed her desired order quantity, resulting in a significant burden for both parties involved.
Therefore, we reached a mutual agreement to address this issue through a contract. We made the decision to produce according to the manufacturer's MOQ but ship only the quantity specifically requested by her. Instead, we agreed to a term that grants her the option to purchase additional stock at the current unit price whenever necessary, based on the local demand and sales situation. Instead, to avoid accumulating excessive inventory, we have established a specific time period, after which Maycorders has the right to sell the remaining volume. As there was no experience with this type of transaction, detailed consultation and drafting of contracts were essential. We examined the contract together and signed it eventually.
Now she paid 50% of the amount of the total production cost. Production will be made soon and shipped to Australia. Maycorders deeply understand the difficulties of startups. So, we wanted to solve her problem together. Therefore, MAYK wants to be a good partner to collaborate with many clients worldwide who want to start their business with limited resources.
