What ‘Global Leading Company 1000+’ means

As Team Maycoders focuses on digital transformation of traditional industries, the portfolio of awards is very diverse.

A variety of seemingly unrelated plaques are displayed in our office, including awards recognized for our advancement in traditional industries and awards awarded for our innovation in the existing market.

On May 11, Maycoders was once again designated as a "Global Leading Company 1000+" and presented a certificate with leading large and small companies that are performing more than a certain level in overseas markets.

To briefly introduce ‘Global Leading Company 1000+’, it is a project organized by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups to discover export small and medium-sized enterprises with innovation and growth potential and foster them as export leaders.

A total of 54 small and medium-sized enterprises were selected in Seoul for the "growth company" stage of ‘Global Leading Company 1000+’, and Maycorders, which was recognized for its export-related performance and innovation, was also included in 54 small and medium-sized enterprises in the "growth company" stage.

What does winning ‘Global Leading Company 1000+’mean to Team Maycoders other than simply 'received a good award from the government'? There's no end to listing good effects, but I've summarized the three points below that are meaningful to the team.

[Business focused on markets that are willing to pay]

Team Maycoders never simply sits at his desk and focuses on a market that we think will "go well." Focuses on a market where customer payments occur before the platform is even completed, where demand is sufficient and transactions can be formed immediately, with more than 3,000 queries piled up.

From this point of view, "K-beauty distribution and manufacturing" is the field in which Maycorders is converting overflowing demand into a form of transactions where payments take place. In a market where information asymmetry and language barriers do not lead to high-quality inquiries from global sellers as suppliers, Maycoders is creating new value by connecting as a technology.

I think it would have been difficult for Maycorders to be listed on ‘Global Leading Company 1000+’ simply with good technology and good stories. I think Maycoders was able to be listed in that it is operating a business that generates real sales and profits by focusing on markets that are willing to pay.

[Businesses targeting items of high global interest, not limited to specific regions]

Aside from the global status of K-beauty, K-beauty ranks third in the global beauty market. It is a market with clear growth, and the trend of "K-Beauty" itself being a selling point for sellers is expanding, especially in the Southeast Asian market.

It is in line with this context that Maycorders chose "beauty" as the first category that connects the global market with the supply of Korea.

Performing more than a certain level in the category of high interest in the global market. Among the companies selected as ‘Global Leading Company 1000+’, Maycoders, a small company, was able to proudly join the company because we are innovatively growing items of high interest in global markets.

[Technology-based, scalable startups]

If such a potential market was simply connected by traditional trading methods, it would have been difficult to be listed as ‘Global Leading Company 1000+’, which focuses on growth and expandability. 

Maycoders was able to stand out because it is developing sophisticated platforms as its own technology to overcome geographical limitations and easily compare K-beauty distribution and manufacturing online and receive accurate information.

3D design, supply line comparison, payment, and logistics processing technologies created by Maycoders are evolving year by year toward more sophisticated and reliable customer confidence.

Because we're moving real-world transactions between customers and markets online and creating the technology we need in the process, instead of looking good or technology for technology, we're confident that Maycoders is a small but ‘strong’ global company.
