As discussed in the previous article (Part 1), it is true that customizing your brand product requires a high minimum order quantity (MOQ).
However, individuals who are starting their own brand typically desire a lower MOQ, as there is always a fear of how their products will be accepted in the market. To address this concern, we are exploring various ways to reduce MOQ. One approach involves collaborating with manufacturers and one other way is "group buying" to lower the MOQ. With group buying, buyers are able to purchase quantities as low as 200 MOQs (Unit prices varying depending on quantity).
However, there may still be questions, such as what happens if there are overlapping products in a market. To address this issue, we impose national restrictions, limiting product manufacturing to one buyer per country on a first-come, first-served basis.
It is important to note, however, that there are some downsides to this approach. Production can only begin once buyers from each country have come together to meet the actual production MOQ (for example, skin care products' production MOQ is normally 5,000pcs) and there are limits to customization. Specifically, the container and formula are fixed, with customization only possible for design and labeling.
Despite these disadvantages, I think it is a great opportunity to test your brand on a low budget and test your marketing skills. In addition, we are planning various ways to reduce MOQ, so please continue to pay a lot of attention to our service, and if you have any good ideas, please share them with us.
